He is a patient with kidney failure who is just 28 years old. Paulo was working and living his life before became ill and after few tests, they found that his kidneys had failed and is on haemodialysis 3 times a week for 4 hours stuck on a machine.
A kind healthy person between 18 to 60 years of age with O blood group can directly donate one of their kidneys.
People with other blood groups can also help by donating one of their
kidneys through shared scheme
South Asian Health Action, a patient ,carer and community led charity are launching this Kidney appeal on behalf of Thejas and his family.
“ in 750 people are born with single kidney and they lead a normal life and they may not be aware also. We all have two kidneys and we need only one for a healthy active life.”
